Q&A

What was your favorite book as a child?

My favorite book was, and still is, “Reunion” by Fred Uhlman. I love this book dearly. It is one of my fondest memories. I was deeply moved by the recounting of the life-long friendship of the two main characters. It is the key to the story and the reason why I love it so much. (I won’t spoil any more, you have to read it).

Do you remember the original reason or motivation why you started writing creatively?

I remember writing a short story for my literature class. This is when I discovered that I enjoyed creating a new world, new characters that were not real, but nonetheless carried within them their own purpose and vision of the world.

What was the most adventurous or thrilling thing you ever did/experienced?

I have to say traveling. I’m always thrilled when I get to see new places and meet new people. It changes me and helps get me out of my comfort zone.

Do you listen to music while reading or writing?

Not so much while reading, but sometimes I listen to music while I’m writing. It helps me isolate myself from the world and focus on what I’m writing instead. Regarding what genre I listen to, it depends on the mood. Sometimes I need something to pump me up in order to give my all, like Queen. Other times, I prefer something more chill, like the latest pop songs.
