Q&A

What was your favorite book as a child?

Harry Potter, without a shadow of a doubt. Without Hogwarts, its houses, and incredible characters like Hermione Granger, I would never have had the inspiration or the imagination to become a writer.

Do you remember the original reason or motivation why you started writing creatively?

As pretentious as it may sound, it was never an option not to do it.

What was the most adventurous or thrilling thing you ever did/experienced?

Three weeks of kayaking through the Alaskan wilderness. An adventure that let me live out my childhood dream of wilderness survival, inspired by Gary Paulsen's novels.

Do you listen to music while reading or writing?

Always. A great excuse for procrastination is to create just the right background playlist for each individual writing project. Every story feels more powerful when it's bolstered by a soundtrack.
