Q&A

What was your favorite book as a child?

I can’t really say what my favourite book was as a child, though I had many and loved them. But probably it was one of the fairy tale collections. My favourite books right now would be much easier to pinpoint — the “Outlander” series by Diana Gabaldon. (You’re most welcome to chat to me for hours about that.)

What was the most adventurous or thrilling thing you ever did/experienced?

The most thrilling thing I’ve ever done and probably ever will do took place in June 2017 when I was able to fulfil my lifelong dream of seeing Great White Sharks up close in their natural habitat. I’ve never experienced anything that comes even close to the unutterable calmness and peace I felt in the forty-five minutes I spent in the water with them.

Do you listen to music while reading or writing?

No, I don’t listen to music when I read. I find that my mind starts to wander when I have something else going on and I’d rather focus on the book in front of me.
